This was a studio theory assignment, the artcile looks at Avril being a mainstream manfestation of the rise of "Active Girl". Is it negative? Is it postive? The truth is it's both. She's a kid and lacks the knowledge to understand the issues around how she's been position, leading to her being a shallow mainstream manfestation of something that is quite complicated. However her success and mainstream marketability offers hope to future. The article itself was printed on low ink then scanned back in to obtain a banded effected.
